200 Luna Prototypes

We've been hard at work making sure that Luna Display's hardware and software engineering run smoothly together.
Back in July, we manufactured 100 Luna prototypes to use for testing and to send to the press. This week we received 100 more Mini DisplayPort prototypes! Even though they don’t have their enclosures yet, these prototypes allow us to do extensive testing across Mac models.

Our plan for the prototypes
1. Work through design challenges: We are 3D printing enclosures (seen in above photo) to guarantee a good fit with Luna's internal hardware. We want Luna to look sleek on your Mac and feel good in your hand!
2. Media correspondence: We're sending more units out to journalists to continue to spread the word about our Kickstarter.
3. Beta testing: In the coming weeks, we’ll be working with beta testers to ensure Luna's top-of-the-line performance.

We sent Luna prototypes to the press... here's what they have to say
Before launching our Kickstarter, we manufactured 200 functional Luna Display prototypes. This gave us a chance to work through some of the engineering and design hurdles of Luna so that we can avoid future setbacks in our campaign.
We also sent out prototypes to tech journalists for feedback. Now that they've had a couple of weeks to test Luna, here's what they're saying:
